I have experienced Alzheimer’s at a personal level with my grandmother who is now no longer with us.  I have spent 13 years working in geriatric healthcare with an emphasis on Alzheimer’s.  I am the author of Alzheimer’s Days Gone By: For Those Caring For Their Loved Ones. 

I received my BA in psychology with an emphasis on children with autism and behaviors exhibited from University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. My journey with children with autism gave me the base line skills to observe and learn from the behaviors exhibited by a person on the journey with Alzheimer’s.  During my years in healthcare, I have obtained my Social Work license, Assisted Living certification as well as my Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator.  

 I am the owner and president of Leading the Way Seminars.  My business is locally owned and operated out of Central Texas.  I have traveled and continue to travel nationwide educating on Alzheimer’s.  Wishing you strength, courage and happiness with those in their days gone by!
